Privacy and cookies

What this site does with your visit.

situatedstrategies.org is a small company site with one form on it. This page says what the form sends and where, what else is collected when you visit, which cookies are set and why, and how to change your mind. Effective October 1st 2026.

Who runs this site

Situated Strategies LLC, PO Box 3766, Albany, NY 12208. Questions about this page go to olivia@situatedstrategies.org.

The intake form

The form on the contact page asks for your name, your email address, what you're launching, where it stands, which tier you had in mind, a budget range, a timeline, and anything else you want to add. Only your name, email and the description are required.

When you send it, the site's own server (a Cloudflare Worker) checks the fields and emails them to Olivia's inbox at situatedstrategies.org. The email is delivered through Resend, an email delivery service, which processes the message on Situated Strategies' behalf under its own privacy policy. A short confirmation is sent to the address you gave, the same way.

Your submission is kept as an email in Olivia's mailbox for as long as it's useful to the conversation you started, and is deleted on request. It isn't added to a mailing list, sold, or shared with anyone else. The form also carries a hidden field that only automated submissions fill in, and a timestamp of when the page loaded; both exist to reject spam and are not kept.

If you would rather not use the form, email works just as well.

What else is collected when you visit

The site's host, Cloudflare, records the ordinary details a browser sends with each request (IP address, browser type, the page requested) in short-lived operational logs used for security and reliability. Situated Strategies doesn't build profiles from them.

Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google's servers under Google's privacy policy.

Cookies

On your first visit a banner asks whether the site may set cookies. Nothing is set until you choose.

  • Accept all. The site loads the Google tag (gtag.js) for Google Analytics and Google Ads. Google sets cookies such as _ga and _gcl_au that let Situated Strategies count visits, see which pages people read, and see whether an ad brought someone here. That informs where to advertise and what to write. Google processes the measurement data under its own privacy policy. The site also loads OpenAI's ads pixel, which records when a visit that began from an ad in ChatGPT ends with the form being sent. OpenAI processes that data under its own privacy policy.
  • Only necessary. No advertising or analytics cookie is set and the OpenAI pixel is not loaded. Google's tag still receives cookieless pings that carry no identifier, which Google uses only to estimate visit counts.

Your choice is stored for twelve months in a first-party cookie named ss_consent, mirrored in your browser's local storage. It holds only the word "all" or "necessary" and the date you chose. Change it any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing cookies for this site in your browser.

Your rights

Situated Strategies doesn't sell personal information. Under California law, loading advertising measurement counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, and you can opt out by choosing "Only necessary" in the banner. Residents of states with similar laws may do the same. To see, correct or delete anything you've sent through the form, email olivia@situatedstrategies.org.
