Pick how much of the launch Olivia does.
Every tier starts with Olivia looking at how your business actually runs. After that they differ in how far she carries the build before she hands it back.
Tier one
Basic: a good look and a written plan
$250
For founders who know what they want to launch and need to know what it takes. You leave with a plan and a price for the rest.
What's included
- A discovery session, in person in Albany or over video, on how your business runs today: how work comes in, how customers reach you, what you're already paying for.
- A written roadmap that separates what the project should have from what it could have, with the reasons on each line.
- Recommendations for the tools and accounts you'll need, and the ones you don't.
- A rough order of work, so you know what to do first even if you do it yourself.
- One follow-up conversation once you've read it.
What's not included
- Building anything. Basic is the map.
- Design mockups or a prototype (that's Standard).
- Opening accounts on your behalf (that's Premium).
Who it suits
People with an idea and a notebook full of questions, or who have been quoted three wildly different numbers and would like a straight one. Also anyone planning to do the build themselves who wants to do it properly.
Tier two
Standard: the plan, plus a prototype you can click
$450
For founders who want to see it before they commit to it. You get something you can click, and a strategy for the people who'll click it.
What's included
- Everything in Basic.
- A working prototype of your website or app: real pages, real flows, enough to put in front of a customer or an investor and watch what they do.
- Marketing and brand strategy: who you're for, what to say to them, and what you can safely ignore for now.
- A written account of what it would take to turn the prototype into the real thing, so the next step is priced from evidence.
What's not included
- The production build, hosting and launch (that's Premium).
- Domain, email and payment setup, unless you add it.
- Running your marketing. Standard tells you what to do; it doesn't post for you.
Who it suits
People who need to test the idea with real customers before spending real money, or who have to show a partner or a bank what they mean. Also anyone who isn't sure whether this is a website or an app and would rather find out cheaply.
The handoff
You get the keys.
The most common thing Olivia hears from founders is that they can't log in to their own business. So the handoff is the rule the whole project runs on, from the first account opened.
- Every account in your name from day one. Registrar, DNS, hosting, email, app store, payment processor, analytics. Situated Strategies joins as an invited collaborator and removes itself at the end.
- A handoff document. One page per account: where to log in, what it costs, when it renews, and what to do when something breaks.
- A walkthrough. A recorded call where Olivia shows you how to change the thing you'll most often want to change, until you can do it without her.
- Your code, your content, your designs. Anything made for you is yours. No licence fees and no hostage files.
- No lock-in by design. Everything is built on tools you could hand to another developer tomorrow.
Before you ask
The practical questions.
Who is this for?
Founders. People launching their own idea, small business or product, who would rather spend their energy on the business than on working out DNS. It isn't a restaurant consultancy and it isn't a service for market vendors; those are different jobs, with different help.
Do I need to be in Albany?
No. Albany, New York is where Situated Strategies is based and where in-person sessions happen. Everything else works over video and email, and most of the setup work happens in a browser anyway.
What does it cost?
Each tier is a flat price: Basic is $250, Standard is $450 and Premium is $800. Hosting, domains and software subscriptions are billed to your own accounts on top, so you own them. The intake form asks for a budget range so nobody wastes the first conversation.
What if I only need one piece?
Ask. The three tiers are the usual shapes a project takes, not the only ones. A domain and email setup on its own, or a roadmap for a business that already exists, are both normal requests.
Who owns what at the end?
You do. Every account is opened in your name from the start, and the code, content and designs made for you are yours. The handoff section above is the long version.
Why does the approach matter?
Because the cheapest mistake to avoid is building the wrong thing. Olivia's research discipline is ethnomethodology and conversation analysis, which is a formal way of saying she watches how people actually get things done before deciding what would help. The approach, explained.

Not sure which tier? Say so on the form.
"Not sure yet" is an option on every question. Olivia reads each submission herself and replies by email.
