Have Another Cherry
Expense sharing for people who keep their own accounts, on the web and both app stores.
What it tookAn app where you practice hard conversations with the people you find hardest to talk to, so you can say what you mean instead of giving in or going quiet. Two AI characters: the Coperson, who plays them, and the Mediator, who helps you see what just happened. Practice, not therapy. For adults 18 and over.
What was set up
Two AI characters that have to stay in role, a knowledge base that has to back every line they say, and a subject that has to be handled with care.
What it taught
Codaptable sits next to mental health without being a mental health product, and the launch depended on saying so clearly, everywhere, before anyone could misread it. The app says it is practice at the start of every session. The site says it isn't a crisis service, with the numbers to call instead. The characters are built to stop when someone is in distress, and the research behind them is written down where it can be checked.
It also came from the same place as the rest of the work: Olivia is a conversation analyst in training, and the Mediator does, in miniature, what her research does. It looks at how a reply was built and explains why it worked.
